TUTOR - KATRINA LUFF SCOTT
As an Art Teacher I find joy in helping students express themselves and try to teach various techniques that will ultimately enhance their work. Whether students are new to watercolour or considered advanced, there are infinite ways to experiment with this beautiful medium. If one wants to use a strong vibrant palette or subdued sophisticated tones, the results can be wonderful and enchanting.
As with all Art there is no right or wrong way!
Wonderful and freeing!
At the Thursday morning Art Class held at St.Josephs for Maidenhead Painting Club, I tend to set projects that run for a couple of weeks. This is to give some direction and inspiration; but I am always more than happy for students to develop their own ideas. I actively encourage individuals to find their own voice and strengthen their natural and preferred way of working. In my lessons, I often start with a ten minute "taster" of how to use a specific technique that will be new to some students who are starting on their artistic journey or a little reminder to others who have had more experience!
