Established in 1978, Maidenhead Painting Club (MPC) is an art club for all (18+) abilities and has been promoting and encouraging arts and creativity (particularly in painting and drawing) ever since.
The Club meets at a number of venues in Maidenhead, holding regular classes and workshops, for members to learn and practice in; watercolour, acrylics, oils and mixed media. We also organise art demonstrations, critiques and visits to exhibitions on visual arts as well as offering classes tutored by experienced artists. The Club also arranges summer sketching and painting venues in addition to the scheduled classes (see "what we do") plus demonstrations by experienced and professional artists and critiques during the year as well as occasional art exhibitions. Members will also receive occasional reminders, newsletters and updates (via email). Three newsletters per year give useful, up-to-date information for members. The newsletter is produced digitally but please contact the club if you are unable to receive any electronic versions via email. Please also contact the Newsletter / Social Secretary if you have something you would like to be included in the newsletter. Recently the Club have introduced Bulletins to provide more urgent communications on new outings and exhibitions, etc.
Workshops, groups and classes tutor and member led and we are delighted to have the following tutors working with us: - Katrina Luff Scott who tutors the Watercolour class - Gary Spencerwho tutors the Mixed Media class
