Maidenhead Painting Club is an inclusive art club for all ages and abilities. It was set up in 1978 and has been promoting and encouraging arts and creativity (particularly in painting and drawing) ever since.
The Club organises a number of weekly workshops, where members are free to use whatever style, medium or subject they prefer and pay a small fee to cover basic costs (such as venue hire), which is kept as low as possible. We also organise talks, demonstrations and visits of interest to members as well as offering classes tutored by experienced artists.
There are no prerequisites to join the Club apart from an interest in painting and drawing. The current annual membership fee is £15.00, payable annually in September (even if you have recently joined as a new member and have paid in the year to September).
There is a quarterly newsletter giving useful, up-to-date information for members. The newsletter is produced digitally but please contact the club if you would like a printed version. Please also let Keith Francis know of anything you would like to have included in the newsletter. The next one is due to be published before Easter.
The Club arranges a number of summer painting venues, demonstrations and appraisals during the year as well as occasional art exhibitions and a Christmas Social. Members who use e-mail (the club’s preferred way to communicate) may also receive occasional reminders and updates.
